Da Nang's climate is tropical, with occasional monsoons.
August – December: wet season, occasional monsoons, the lowest temperature are December with 18 – 23o C.
January – July: dry season, the highest temperatures are June with 28-30o C.

Pass of the Ocean Cloud, the highest pass in the country, rising 1,500 km above sea level. From the top you can see the ocean, Son Tra Peninsula, Tien Sa Port and Da Nang City.
Getting there and away
Danang is conveniently located for excursions to the World Heritage Sites in Central Vietnam such as
Hoi An Ancient Town (20 km), Hue Imperial City (110 km), My Son Holy Land (65 km) and four-season-in-a-day Ba Na Mountain (46 km to the South West of Vietnam).
Airlines:
There are frequent domestic flights connecting Danang to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Dalat, Buon Ma Thuot and Pleiku; and internationally Guangzhou, Seoul-Incheon, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai-Pudong, Siem Reap, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo-Narita.
Railway: Daily express train services are available from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Danang.
Road: It takes 3 hours to drive from Hue and 30minutes from Hoi An. It’s easy to take a private car or taxi to get Danang.
